Your Mission

As an Employee Event Associate, you will work with the VP, Communications, the Internal Communications Manager, and the broader Communications team to support a wide variety of corporate, functional, and internal events and needs.


In this role, you will have an eye for detail and ensure events are coordinated across all Virgin Galactic locations. You will oversee all aspects of event planning and management and will organize all the details, including organizing on-site space or booking a venue, planning food service, digital production (Zoom, staging, microphones, etc.), entertainment, decorations, transportation, and staffing for the day of the event. You will supervise each phase of planning during the event to ensure it runs smoothly and effortlessly. This role is for someone who is passionate about workplace culture initiatives that engage and inspire employees. Our ideal candidate will need to have a solid background in event coordination, employee engagement and culture driven activities.


Job Responsibilities

  • Support in the planning and execution of quarterly internal meetings, town halls, holiday parties, and team events.
  • Manage all event set-up (including AV), tear down, and follow-up processes, ensuring the right people/teams are there to support
  • Maintain event budgets
  • Ensure all event SOWs, contracts, deposits are executed prior to event date
  • Ensure payments are reconciled in a timely manner
  • Assist with employee gifts by sourcing, setting a budget, and distribution company wide to various locations.

  • Phenomenal verbal and written communication
  • Ability to evaluate, prioritize, and handle multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy and working under tight deadlines
  • Good interpersonal and relationship-building skills in order to work with a variety of departments and stakeholders, including HR, IT, Safety and Security and others
  • Being calm under pressure and able to reprioritize tasks in response to unexpected changes in priorities/requests
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams
  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree Communications or Event Management ideal
  • 2-4 years’ experience in employee engagement/employee events coordination



  • Project Management and Communications experience
  • Employee Engagement understanding
  • Some knowledge of AV production


ITAR Requirements

To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, applicant must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by ITAR (22 CFR §120.15) or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
