Your Mission

Virgin Galactic is quite possibly the most fun and innovative place to work for someone like you! We are seeking engineering interns to help develop the next generation of commercial space vehicles. For approximately 12 weeks you will be immersed in our incredible culture and work on challenging and meaningful projects that directly relate to company goals. The hands-on experience you will gain along with opportunities to engage with our exceptional executives, engineers and other professionals will be incredibly valuable in shaping the foundation for your future.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in cost analysis and report creation to help communicate monthly results
  • Assist in the documentation of finance procedures
  • Assist with the process maturity within cost accounting/operations
  • Participate in the quarterly forecasting process
  • Participate in the monthly financial reporting process and meetings
  • Perform ad-hoc financial analysis to support business needs
  • Transform large data sets into actionable recommendations

 

What you bring

Education:

  • Currently enrolled in an ABET accredited university, pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant degree program
  • A top notch education including formal training, awards, internship experience, high GPA, a top of class student
  • Education so amazing that it distinguishes the candidate among any applicants regardless of work experience
  • Minimum 3.5 GPA strongly preferred
  • Outstanding customer service skills along with excellent hardware and software troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office software – Excel expertise preferred
  • Experience leading and managing complex projects across various stakeholders
  • Ability to work under pressure and with ‘on the spot’ priority situations in a quick and effective manner

 

ITAR Requirements

To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, applicant must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by ITAR (22 CFR §120.15) or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
