Who You Are

TSC is seeking a motivated Data Specialist Customer Support. The primary tasks of this role will be to coordinate all data and information collection and transfer between TSC and TSC’s customers.  This person will ensure all Coordination Memo requests from TSC’s customers are acknowledged and addressed in a timely manner.  This role involves working closely with both the TSC and VG manufacturing/maintenance and engineering teams.  This role functions in a fast-paced operation-focused environment.  This person will need to be able to support work on off-Fridays, weekends, and off-hours as required.

Your Mission

  • Collect and prepare technical information to be included in Service Bulletins and Coordination Memos.  Write Service Bulletins and Coordination Memos with the support of Engineering and other Customer Support professionals.
  • Ensure the Customer Support issues tracking tool is maintained and current with the status of all tickets.  Prepare metrics associated with closure of customer support tickets.
  • Create weekly and monthly status presentations for senior management
  • Maintain tight control of numerous spreadsheets and databases tracking configuration, effectivity, purchase orders, repair orders, and parts obsolescence
  • Coordinate with Production Control and Supply Chain regarding spares, obsolescence, and outsourced part fabrication
  • Ensure TSC and VG are coordinated in terms of configuration control status
  • Track engineering and parts fabrication/repair status within TSC’s MRP systems
  • Track status of customer spares engineering and production
  • Create process maps and process documentation related to Customer Support to support TSC’s goal to become AS9100 certified

What you bring

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 5+ years’ experience in the general areas of data control, configuration control, and/or technical communications
  • Skilled or trainable to interrogate CATIA V5 models and technical drawings
  • Working knowledge of air vehicle systems, structures/systems integration, engineering design, and the drawing release processes
  • Experience writing technical coordination memos and/or service bulletins
  • Knowledge of engineering and manufacturing methods for various materials (composite layup, metal machining, 3D printing, bonded assembly, mechanical assembly)
  • Excellent analytical and decision-making skills
  • Experience with Product Lifecycle Management tools (PLM software), manufacturing ERP systems, MRO tools, requirements management and configuration management tools
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, excellent computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project, Visio, and Outlook.  Experience utilizing Excel to its fullest potential.
  • Strong team player and ability to work independently with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Applicants must be U.S. persons as defined by the ITAR (22 CFR §120.15)
