    The Spaceship Company (TSC) is an affiliate of Virgin Galactic as a space-system manufacturing organization. Headquartered at Mojave Air and Space Port in Mojave, California, it is building and testing a fleet of WhiteKnightTwo carrier aircraft and SpaceShipTwo reusable spaceships that, together, form Virgin Galactic’s human spaceflight system. Like many Virgin companies across the world, its team of over 400 talented and dedicated engineers, technicians and professionals are drawn together by a willingness to disrupt and challenge the status quo and deliver innovative aerospace solutions to our customers’ needs. TSC’s extensive capabilities encompass preliminary vehicle design and analysis, manufacturing, ground testing, flight testing and post-delivery support.

    As the Talent Acquisition Scheduler - you’ll be the start of first impressions for potential future hires. You will set the stage for candidate’s initial reactions to our hiring process, company and culture.  With an awesome personality you will inspire and entice potential hires.  Ready to jump into any scenario whether wooing candidates or assisting the recruiters at reeling people in to everything our company and the Mojave Desert has to offer! A tenacious and service oriented approach makes you friendly and efficient as you make your mark on the attraction, hiring and retention of top talent.  You are unafraid of tackling process minutia and multi-tasking.   Your relentless attention to detail will ensure the best candidate experience.

     

    Your Mission 

    • Scheduling interviews via outlook
    • Coordinate the candidate experience for their onsite interview day to ensure they are fully prepared for their onsite
    • Includes the following and more: room bookings, ordering meals, greeting and welcoming the candidate when needed, insuring the interview schedule flows smoothly (i.e. people get where their supposed to be, when they’re supposed to be), coordinating area tour for non local candidates
    • Liaison for telephone and on-site interviews
    • Candidate processing in our ATS (Icims)
    • Coordination of candidate travel with recruiter and our travel team
    • Interact with candidates, reception and hiring managers to ensure a successful candidate experience
    • Perform work in compliance with applicable federal, state and local regulations pertaining to equal employment opportunity, immigration, and company policy
    • Resource for People Team as needed

    What you bring

     

    • Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Office Products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
    • Expertise in Microsoft Outlook and calendar management
    • Must have strong communication skills, both written and verbal
    • Must be detail oriented, with strong organizational skills
    • 1-2 years of experience in Recruiting coordination in a professional environment ideal or experience in event planning or administrative work
    • Creative individual with a keen eye for detail
    • Proactive mind-set, with the desire to take initiative in order to solve problems and deliver solutions
    • Strong sense of urgency; ability to execute quickly and efficiently
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with tact and discretion
    • Flexible, with the ability to multitask in support of the timelines and deliverables of team members
    • Team-player, but with the ability to work independently
    • Ability to work under pressure with ‘on the spot’ priority situations in a quick and effective manner
    • Able to learn quickly and grasp projects and details
    • Experience from a start-up environment is ideal, but not mandatory
    • Must possess an active and valid California drivers license with no restrictions
    • Must possess a clean driving record

     

    ITAR Requirements
    To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, applicant must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by ITAR (22 CFR §120.15) or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
