    The Spaceship Company (TSC) is an affiliate of Virgin Galactic as a space-system manufacturing organization. Headquartered at Mojave Air and Space Port in Mojave, California, it is building and testing a fleet of WhiteKnightTwo carrier aircraft and SpaceShipTwo reusable spaceships that, together, form Virgin Galactic’s human spaceflight system.     Who You Are

    TSC is seeking a Project Scheduler to assist the Senior Director of Business Development in supporting ongoing activities and new advanced programs aligned with making dreams take flight. The role will create, modify, and manage project schedules in support of new business pursuits.    

    Your Mission

    • Create, modify, and manage Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) for small and large projects, proposals, and pop up requests in support of new business pursuits for both commercial and government projects
    • Create, modify update and manage top level Program Status Milestone Schedule (PSMS) that runs full life cycle from project inception, design, build, flight test, and into service
    • Track, analyze, and report information appropriately to allow project teams to manage their projects and evaluate weekly reports
    • Track baselines, perform what-if analysis, and develop contingency plans
    • Prepare, implement, and monitor scopes of work using Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) for control and integrity
    • Monitor projects’ progress, including identifying the critical path and reviewing forecasts and progress achieved to date
    • Provide scheduling inputs to support project documentation and deliverables
    • Identify corrective actions to keep project on scope, budget, and time

    What you bring

    • 5+ years of demonstrated experience in aerospace and defense industry with schedule tools such as MS Project and Milestones
    • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
    • Demonstrated ability to lead and empower a team of subject matter experts in varying technical disciplines.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication, excellent computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
    • Ability to form strong professional working relationships
    • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with a high attention to detail.
    • Flexible approach to work and the ability to see different scenarios and project outcomes
    • Team player with excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work proactively and with self-initiative

    To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, applicant must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by ITAR (22 CFR §120.15) or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
