    Who You Are
    TSC is seeking a first rate aircraft non-destructive test (NDT) engineer with experience in composite materials, processes, and production manufacturing including out of autoclave processing. The engineer will develop and maintain specifications for NDT methods for validation of composite defects, damage tolerance, structural life forecasting, and structural integrity. The engineer will assist in the development and maintenance of composite defect standards for parts and joints. The engineer must be familiar with various NDT inspection techniques and able to write inspection instructions for each technique. Able to recommend new NDT techniques and process improvements to other team members.

    Your Mission

    • Develops and defines manufacturing defect and damage tolerance requirements for composite structures and joints
    • Able to apply industry accepted NDT techniques for detection of defects and damage
    • Develop NDT defect standards to assist the quality team in inspection
    • Write and maintain NDT process for inspection utilizing the appropriate NDT technique to determine the specific defect

    What you bring

    • Must have a minimum of 5 years of NDT experience
    • Experience with ultrasonic, radiography, thermography, laser shearography, and tap testing
    • Conversant with advanced composite materials and processing used in the manufacture of aircraft
    • Experience with technical report writing for advanced composite materials
    • Experience with out of autoclave processing, wetlay, and primary structure bonding
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Excellent Organizational Skills and problem-solving skills
    • Strong team player
    • Excellent computer skills, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
    • Experience with the design of flight vehicles or vehicle systems to a set of requirements or standards such as CFR 14, Part 400, Part 23 and 25, military or NASA are highly desired
    • Bachelor's degree from an ABET accredited institution, with a concentration in a relevant discipline strongly preferred.

     

    ITAR Requirements

    To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, applicant must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by ITAR (22 CFR §120.15) or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
