Who you are

The Spaceship Company (TSC) is seeking a Configuration/Documentation Specialist to provide document control and configuration management support to all department projects and systems. The primary tasks of this role include oversight of Quality Systems Documentation and Configuration Management of engineering drawings. This position will be instrumental in specification development and process design phases of this exciting new project startup. Documentation management, revision control and configuration management are required to implement and maintain an effective quality management system. The successful candidate will have an in-depth understanding of the change management processes as it affects engineering change proposals, engineering product definition, Bill-of Material (BOM), configuration status accounting records, configuration audits and change control/BOM business systems. Familiarity with the CMII process is highly desirable.

Your Mission

  • Assist all company departments with development, documentation, and improvement of company processes to be consistent, efficient, and effective.
  • Utilize TSC’s computerized Product Data Management system to access controlled documents and engineering definition.
  • Develop and improve the Engineering Change Request process as well as the Change Implementation process.
  • Coordinate Export Classification Requirements with Engineering and Export Personnel
  • Verify validation and release of Engineering Change Notices.
  • Review parts lists for products about to be delivered to confirm that they conform to current configuration revision.
  • Compile pre-delivery data packages containing these as-built/as-designed parts lists along with product build sequence details, quality inspections, test data, and other product documentation requested by customers.
  • Oversee the configuration management of vehicle requirements within the IBM DOORS

What you bring

Professional Requirements

  • Working knowledge of CMII & ISO9001/AS9100 requirements for configuration management and document control
  • Experience using Oracle/Agile software
  • Experienced in implementing and managing electronic Product Lifecycle Management systems
  • At least 3 years of experience implementing and maintaining configuration management and document control processes
  • Previous experience using the International Traffic in Arms Regulations and Export
  • Administration Regulations preferred
  • Excellent organizational skills and problem solving skills
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Applicants must be U.S. persons as defined by the ITAR (22 CFR §120.15).

Educational Requirements

  • Associate of Science Degree (B.S. Degree preferred).
  • CMII Certification preferred.
