The Spaceship Company (TSC) is Virgin Galactic’s wholly owned space-system manufacturing organization. Headquartered at Mojave Air and Space Port in Mojave, California, it is building and testing a fleet of WhiteKnightTwo carrier aircraft and SpaceShipTwo reusable spaceships that, together, form Virgin Galactic’s human spaceflight system. Who you are
The Spaceship Company (TSC) is seeking an experienced Conceptual Structural Engineer who is proficient in aircraft conceptual and preliminary structural design, layout, and sizing. The position is within the fast paced and wide reaching Advanced Design team. Familiarity, and willingness to learn, with all speed regimes (subsonic, supersonic, hypersonic) and vehicle configurations (general aviation, fighters, helicopters, spacecraft) is highly recommended. Ultimately responsible for providing initial program direction on structures with appropriate level of fidelity and manufacturing considerations in mind.
